A Mediterranean-style resort near SeaWorld with spacious kitchen units and four pools, the non-smoking Marriott's Grande Vista treats our guests to a lovely lake with paddleboats. Set on 164 lush tropical acres, complete with a lake and lighthouse and architecture modeled after old St. Augustine, the resort has 1313 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas housed in 24 Mediterranean-style buildings. Each unit's balcony or patio promises fresh air and a view of the lake, pool or golf course. Studios feature sofa beds, microwaves, compact fridges and coffeemakers, while larger units add full kitchens plus separate sitting areas, washer/dryer, and jetted tubs. All units have flat-panel TVs with premium cable. The resort has two large heated pools with adjacent kid's pools and two smaller satellite pools, all with adjacent hot tubs. Rent a paddleboat to cruise the lake, or or get active on the nine-hole golf course, at the Grande Vista Golf Club or the instructional facility, the Marriott Golf Academy. Sip drinks by the pool, dine in one of several on-site restaurants and shop in the market. Parking is free. Marriott's Grande Vista is about a 20-minute drive from Orlando International Airport and one-and-a-half miles southeast of the Discovery Cove portion of SeaWorld. Universal is a seven-mile drive north, and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is 12 miles west. Guests get big rooms with kitchens, room to roam on lush acres and pools to swim in, right near SeaWorld where the dolphins swim, at Marriott's Grande Vista.
